Substitute Coordinator Honored

District Substitute Coordinator Shari Strickland was honored by STEDI.org for this May’s Sub Appreciation Week. Every year STEDI.org sends an email out to guest teachers to officially show appreciation for the hard work as part of the week’s celebration. The message includes entry into a drawing to win fun prizes. This year’s prize was an Apple Watch.

This year STEDI also asked guest teachers to recognize their supervisors who do all the work behind the scenes to coordinate substitute assignments. Shari Strickland was nominated and received a special Certificate of Recognition for her professionalism and quality work.

“Our substitutes play a critical role in providing a quality education for our students,” said Strickland. “It was nice to be recognized and supported by all of these amazing professionals we have in our substitute pool.”
