Power 99.1 FM Holiday Surprise!
Pioneer Middle School Custodian Yvonne Huff regularly listens to 99.1 FM radio station. Every year she hears about the station’s A Christmas Wish program where they provide gifts to a limited group of people who are nominated. Gifts this year included a Game Boy electronic gaming system, gaming chair, candy and clothing. Thanks to Huff’s thoughtful nomination packet, Pioneer Middle School student Brayden Dewey won.
“As I was listening to the radio station DJs talk about A Christmas Wish, I thought about Brayden who is my lunchroom helper and knew I had to nominate him,” said Huff. “My wish for Brayden was just simply wanting him to have a very good Christmas this year. He is a neat young man.”
Friday, Dec. 20 representatives from the radio station and sponsors from HAPO Credit Union and Northwest Motorsport came to Pioneer MS to surprise Brayden with his gifts.
“I was very surprised to hear that the radio station chose the person I nominated,” said Huff. “I was very happy and quite humbled to get the chance to do something good for someone.”
