Levy Ballots Mail Out Jan. 22
Walla Walla Public Schools will seek renewal of its Replacement Education Levy on February 11. Levies pay for educational programs and opportunities for students the state does not fund. Levies support school programs like music, art, honors courses and athletics and funds more than 100 staff not paid for by the state’s basic education funding model. This proposed Replacement Education Levy is not a new tax, but a continuation of a local levy requiring voter approval every four years. Rates for property owners are estimated to remain the same throughout its four-year duration.
