How-To Video Series – How to log-in and join virtual class on the first day

Click HERE to watch Carrie LaRoy’s latest video as she explains how to navigate Google classroom and the school’s home landing page to access all of the learning platforms. This is helpful information for tomorrow’s Tech Practice. This video includes directions on how to get in and find the link to your child’s first LIVE session. NOTE: Carrie reviews in her video steps to install the ZOOM app. You will only need to do this the first time you open a ZOOM.

Tips for success during tomorrow’s Tech Practice “Dry Run”
1. Connect your Chromebook to your home WiFi. (District hotspots will connect automatically)
2. Login per directions in the Tech Tote bag (set new password if you haven’t done it)
3. Select Google Classroom on the school’s landing page and click on it
4. Click JOIN on teacher’s class (The link to join the LIVE session will be in the first box of the stream)
5. You will be prompted to install the ZOOM app – only needed once (Carrie models this in the video)
6. ZOOM will prompt your child to type in their full name. This will be used for attendance.
7. The teacher will admit the students into the LIVE virtual session at this time.
