Police to conduct SWAT training at Berney Elementary

The Walla Walla Police Department's SWAT team will be conducting training at Berney Elementary School Wednesday, August 21, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Police will be using emergency tape to rope off the drill areas around the school.

Police will use loud verbal commands and simulated gunfire during the exercise. The police will have an information officer on site to help assist with the drill.

“This is a great opportunity for us to support the Walla Walla police and also help them get to know Berney Elementary and our unique layout,” said Berney Principal Christy Krutulis.
