School Board approves budget
School board members approved the district’s 2013-2014 General Fund budget Tuesday evening. The General Fund budget is based on revenues of $65,378,848 and expenditures of $65,299,820.
The General Fund budget maintains a $6.5 million total fund balance reserve or 10%. The district received approximately $4.5 million in additional revenue as a result of legislative action spurred by the McCleary Decision. All but approximately $100,000 of this funding is targeted for specific areas.
