Lincoln High School Principal on non-life threatening medical leave of absence
Lincoln High School Principal Jim Sporleder is on leave of absence for a non-life threatening medical condition. There is no timetable for Sporleder’s return, but he is hopeful to resume his duties this school year. Lincoln High School Special Education teacher Marci Knauft, who has a State of Washington administrative credential, is serving as the acting principal in Sporleder’s absence.
Sporleder and district administrators have collaborated with Knauft to ensure a successful transition of leadership. Knauft was already planning to assist with the implementation of the new teacher evaluation tool (TPEP) this school year. Lincoln High School staff members have been notified and students will be briefed on the situation on the first day of school.
