District lands check from Pacific Power for SEA-TECH energy efficiency
Walla Walla Public Schools received a check for $3250 from the Pacific Power WATTSMART incentive program for the Southeast Area Technical Skills Center. These incentive checks are distributed for purchasing and installing energy-efficient equipment. A cool roof membrane was installed on SEA-TECH, which reflects more heat than it absorbs and helps minimize heat island effect. Superintendent Dr. Bill Jordan said the district is committed to improving efficiency and lowering operational costs.
