Graveside and Memorial Services planned for Drama teacher Brian Senter

Walla Walla Public Schools staff, friends and family of drama teacher Brian Senter are planning a public Memorial Service in his honor Saturday, Oct. 31 at 11 a.m. at the Walla Walla High School large gym. A private funeral service will be held Friday afternoon for family.

A public graveside service for Drama teacher Brian Senter will be held Friday, Oct. 30 at 1:30 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery (2120 S. 2nd Ave.). The Brian Senter Memorial Scholarship is being established to support students in the drama program. The Senter family requests donations to the scholarship fund in lieu of flowers. Contact the Herring-Groseclose Funeral Home (315 W. Alder St.) at (509) 525-1150 to make a donation.

Wife Mary Senter sends her sincere appreciation to Walla Walla Public Schools for its support and kindness during this extremely difficult time. 

The cast and crew of the fall drama production the “Long Bridge Over Deep Water” have elected to go forward with the play as originally scheduled. Rehearsals of the play resume today. A full dress rehearsal is planned for Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at Walla Walla High School Performing Arts Auditorium. Donations for this performance will fund a scholarship account for the drama program in Brian Senter’s honor. The play’s opening night is Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. at Walla Walla High School Performing Arts Auditorium.

Saturday, Nov. 21 – 2 p.m. (matinee)

Senter was struck and killed by a car Saturday night while walking on Reser Road. GriefBusters counseling services remain available to staff and students this week.
