District meets state emergency preparedness requirements
Walla Walla High School School Resource Officer Allan Thonney, who oversees district Crisis Management responsibilities, reports the district has met the state’s annual emergency preparedness requirements. The state requires the online Rapid Responder system to be updated with current emergency plans and safety teams. Schools are also required to complete and log lockdown, evacuation and shelter-in-place drills throughout the school year and principals must complete Incident Command Systems training.
