Class of 65 graduate says Wa-Hi science facility inadequate
Wa-Hi Class of 1965 graduate says Wa-Hi facilities similar to when he attended school
Ted Hanson recently attended the Superintendent’s Patron Tour. He graduated from Walla Walla High School in 1965. His class was one of the first to graduate from Wa-Hi at the school’s Abbott Road location.
“It is exactly like it was in the 1960’s, but the classrooms seem to be smaller than they used to be,” Hanson said. “When I went to school there it was cold in the winter and hot in the summer and it hasn’t changed. It is inadequate and old. The building is nice and solid and the campus looks great, but the tables are falling apart, fixtures are old and tired, inadequate wiring and a lot of things that need to be upgraded.”
