April is National Volunteer Month

April is National Volunteer Month

National Volunteer month in the United States takes place in the month of April. This month is dedicated to honoring all of the volunteers in our communities as well as encouraging volunteerism throughout the month.

The theme for 2023 is Volunteering Weaves Us Together. This reveals the importance of volunteering to the strength and vibrancy of our communities through the interconnected actions we take to support one another. Walla Walla Public Schools appreciates the hundreds of volunteers who support classroom learning, chaperone events, assist with coaching and serve as the heart and soul of so many district programs and activities.

The district will name its Art Regier Volunteers of the Year during the April 18 school board meeting. Thank you to all the volunteers who support the district’s vision of Developing Washington’s Most Sought-After Graduates.
