District technology workshop on A.I. chatbots featured in New York Times article
Earlier this month New York Times reporter Natasha Singer traveled to Walla Walla to do a story on the district’s summer Technology Workshop focused on preparing staff to help students learn how to navigate A.I.(Artificial Intelligence) chatbots like ChatGPT.

Technology Director Keith Ross and Technology Integration Specialist Carrie LaRoy organized the training held at Walla Walla High School for about 100 staff members. Walla Walla Public Schools is embracing the use of this new digital technology, and wants to make sure staff, students and families receive training to ensure it is used responsibly.
