Lincoln HS Camp Wooten Retreat

Lincoln High School students visit Camp Wooten for Leadership Academy

Last week approximately 30 Lincoln High School 10th and 11th graders traveled to Camp Wooten in the beautiful Blue Mountains for a two-night leadership retreat. This experience was made possible thanks to funding from the Walla Walla Public Schools Foundation.

Students took part in group-building activities, went on hikes, did art, played games and talked around a campfire. Social-emotional learning and self-esteem building were a primary focus. Student work in this area included talking circles, goal setting, trust games, and exercises in self-expression and leadership building. This Camp Wooten adventure helped strengthen their relationships with one another and with Lincoln HS staff.
