National School Nurse Day

National School Nurse Day - May 8, 2024
Since 1972, National School Nurse Day has been set aside to recognize school nurses. National School Nurse Day was established to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting. School Nurse Day is celebrated on the Wednesday within National Nurses Week. National Nurses Week is May 6-12 each year.

School nurses have served a critical role in improving public health and in ensuring student’s academic success. School nurses understand the link between health and learning and are in a position to make a positive difference for children every day.

Thank you to all the amazing Health Services staff at Walla Walla Public Schools who each day advance the well-being, academic success and life-long achievements of all Walla Walla Public Schools students.
