Two students reported they were approached by a white man in a green car Friday afternoon while they were walking home from school on Howard Street. The stranger asked the students if they wanted a ride and when they declined he drove off.

The man reportedly has brown hair and appears to be in his 30s. The students say he may have a speech impediment and has a lot of freckles. The police have been notified and are investigating.

Parents are reminded to discuss stranger danger procedures with their children and to instruct them to never get in cars with strangers. Parents should always immediately contact the police and follow-up with the school regarding this type of incident.
