Head Start Preschool applications now accepted

The Walla Walla Public Schools Head Start/ECEAP preschool program is now accepting applications for the 2011-2012 school year.

Our program offers children, who are 3 or 4 years of age before August 31, 2011, an opportunity to have fun while learning and preparing for Kindergarten. Applications are available at Blue Ridge Elementary.

Classes are offered Mondays-Thursdays for half a day. There is no fee to apply or be in the program. Transportation is available in most areas. We also offer disabilities and counseling services.

Teachers help your child prepare for academic success by building on strengths in all areas of development. In addition to support at school, Family Advocates assist you in giving your child a head start in life by ensuring regular well-child and dental exams are completed during the school year and visiting with you monthly to provide information on nutrition, parenting skills, and community resources, to name a few.
