Assistant Personnel Director Pat Johnston led a recognition presentation at Tuesday's school board meeting for the district’s classified employees in honor of Classified School Employee Week, March 12-16.

Public Schools Employees (PSE) President Larry McCauley and Vice President Mike Stroe were present as Johnston read a proclamation from Governor Christine Gregoire recognizing and thanking classified employees for the outstanding work they are doing.

Johnston said classified employees are vital to our organization.

“They play a big role in helping students be ready to learn,” Johnston said.
She also stated how she appreciates the leadership and professionalism McCauley and Stroe bring to their positions.

“We have a great relationship based on trust and mutual respect,” Johnston said. “We thank all our classified employees for their hard work.”
