Wa-Hi culminating project goes high tech

As Wa-Hi students seek out their best work to showcase their high school experience as part of their culminating project, they now have access to an internet-based filing system, scanners and other high tech equipment to chart their progress.

Wa-Hi Assistant Principal Mira Gobel and Technology teacher Dennis DeBroeck reported to school board members Tuesday night on the “Blue Print for Tomorrow” project which is required for graduation beginning with the Class of 2008.

DeBroeck has developed electronic training lessons for staff and students to help make the system more user-friendly. He also provides technical support and is a key resource staff and students may turn to if they need further assistance.

He said the web-based program saves time and eliminates hard to manage paper filing systems.
