Kindergarten Open Houses begin

Elementary schools began holding their kindergarten open houses this week.

Green Park has rescheduled the Kindergarten Open House to Thursday, May 3. All prospective students and parents have been notified of the change in date.

 Prospect Point has one scheduled for 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9th. Edison will host prospective kindergarten students and their parents at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22nd. Blue Ridge will have a kindergarten open house at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 6th.

Berney is not having an open house this year, but kindergarten assessments will take place after school on May 21st and 22nd, and prospective students/parents will have an opportunity to meet teachers and see classrooms at that time.

Sharpstein is holding a meeting for dual kindergarten students this spring, and there will be a back to school ice cream social right before school starts in the fall. Students are invited to bring school supplies to the social and there is time for them to meet their new teachers and see their new classrooms.
