Prospect Point playground fund-raiser gaining momentum
A group of motivated Prospect Point parents are working hard to raise funds to replace the schools aging playground equipment. Learn more about the project at:
www.prospectpointplayground.com"We are off to a great start to date, we have received pledges and donations for a little over $22,500!" said Project Chair Staci Wanichek. "We need $12,500 by the end of June in order to place the purchase order and install the first piece of equipment before the start of the 2007/2008 school year!"
Wanichek says she is very optimistic that the group will get that money. According to Wanichek, individuals and businesses can help raise money for the playground by purchasing a personalized engraved brick. Information on purchasing a brick is available on the website listed above.
"The brick will be a testament of their support of the project," she said.
