Wenzel wins PTSA art competition

The winner of the 2007 PTSA Senior Art Competition is Sarah Wenzel for her work "Societys Thought" in oil pastel. The judges of this years competition were, Squire Broel, Daymon Brucke and Coleen Sargen. Entries were increased dramatically from 18 to over 40 and the art was displayed around campus as part of the Art Walk according to Wa-Hi Art Teacher Julie Wallace.

The award was announced at the Artists Reception last week and will be announced again tonight at Academic Recognition and Friday at Graduation.

"Thanks to the PTSA for sponsoring another successful competition," Wallace said. "Sarahs artwork will be professionally framed and hung at Wa-Hi in our increasing permanent collection."
