Wa-Hi Senior designs new signs for Performing Arts Center
Wa-Hi Senior Joanne Coleman recently designed new signs for the Wa-Hi Performing Arts Center. Coleman designed the signs using the classic comedy and tragedy masks by transforming them into Blue Devil faces. The signs will be mounted on the Performing Arts building and at the entrance of the music parking lot.

The project started when Drama Club co-president Dave Marr asked Coleman to create a logo using the comedy and tragedy masks and transforming them into Blue Devil faces for club t-shirts. Coleman went online, found some pictures, and created the Wa-Hi Drama logo now on drama t-shirts. The design was so popular it was decided to use it for the building parking lot signs.

"It feels incredible to be able to leave my mark on Wa-Hi like this," Coleman said. "At Wa-Hi, I am known for two things, my art and my love for drama and to be able to combine those two passions was just amazing. I hope that students will look at these signs and feel more welcomed to join the drama department."
