Berney student wins shooting world championship
Congratulations to Berney Elementary 5th grade student Jeffery Randolf for recently winning the Cowboy Mounted Shooting World Championship for the 12 and under age group during a competition in Laughlin, Nevada.

Randolf has attended shooting matches around the region this past year and has placed 1st in Washington, Montana, and Arizona. He placed 2nd in the Northwest regionals in Bozeman MT.

With these titles and the weekend matches, Randolf was able to earn enough points to advance to the World Finals to compete for the title last week. He has attended this competition for the past four years and always placed in the top five for his age group.

Berney Principal David Talley made a school-wide announcement Monday morning to recognize Randolf and his class enjoyed special treats to celebrate with him.
