Blue Ridge Principal to take new position next school year

Blue Ridge Elementary Principal Connie Taylor-Randall is transferring to the Curriculum Department at the end of the 2008-09 school year to serve as a Principal on Special Assignment. Her duties will include Title I, Learning Assistance Program (LAP), new teacher induction and recruiting.

Taylor-Randall has specialized training in the Guided Language Acquisition Development (GLAD) program and will provide GLAD professional development for teachers as part of her new position.

"We look forward to having Connie join our central office team and use her talents to advance the district in these areas," Deputy Superintendent Dr. Bill Jordan said.

Taylor-Randall will remain at Blue Ridge through the end of the 2008-09 school year and transfer to the Curriculum Department July 1. A search for a new principal will begin immediately.
