Wa-Hi football camp draws teams from throughout region
Cheerleaders selling food and beverages to raise funds for upcoming season
Walla Walla High School football players are tuning up for the upcoming season next week during the team's Spring Team Camp. Area football teams are traveling to Walla Walla High School Tuesday and Thursday to compete in game-like scrimmages.
Walla Walla Football Scrimmage Schedule:
- Monday, June 15 - 6 to 8 p.m. (Hanford High School)
- Tuesday, June 16 - 6 to 8 p.m. (Wa-Hi practice fields - Teams include: Chiawana, Waitsburg-Prescott, Dayton, and Stanfield)
- Wednesday, June 17 - 6 to 8 p.m. (Hanford High School)
- Thursday, June 18 - 6 p.m. (Wa-Hi practice fields - Teams include: Kennewick, Hermiston, Dayton, and Stanfield)
- Friday, June 19 - 4, 6 and 8 p.m. - Spring Football Jamboree (Lampson Field in Kennewick)
Walla Walla High School Cheerleaders will be working during the scrimmages to raise money for the 2009 football season by selling products out of the Pepsi concession trailer. Products to be sold include: Pepsi beverages, chips, cookies, chocolates, hot dogs, and cheeseburgers.
Cheer parents will be barbecuing hot dogs and hamburgers, while cheerleaders will provide treats and beverages to players, coaches, friends, family, and community members who are watching the scrimmages. Concessions will be open Tuesday and Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the WWHS track near the scrimmage fields.
Wa-Hi football teams will travel to Kennewick Friday, June 19 to participate in the Spring Football Jamboree at Lampson Field.
