Prospect Point student organizes Helping Hands for Haiti coin drive
Prospect Point Elementary 4th grade student Paige Gardner has organized the school's "Helping Hands for Haiti" coin drive in collaboration with the Red Cross.

She pitched her idea to Principal Chris Gardea as a student body project. With Gardea's approval, she has helped promote the idea with her own announcements to the school each morning.Gardner's teacher is Karen Watson.

"She definitely exhibits the traits we recognize as one of our Shining Stars," Gardea said.
