Garrison Middle School students honored for academic achievement
Garrison Middle School held their annual Academic Achievement Assembly to recognize honor roll students, students with perfect attendance, and students who display the 3 R characteristics of Respect, Responsibility, and Doing the Right Thing.

Sixth grade teacher Greg Reid, who will retire at the end of this school year with 41 years of teaching experience, spoke to the students about the importance of kind words and treating each other with respect.

A total of 427 students were recognized for being on the honor roll with a GPA of 3.0 to 4.0. Fifty-eight students were recognized for Perfect Attendance for the first half of the school year.

The following nine students were recognized for being nominated by Garrison teachers and staff for displaying the 3 R Characteristic Traits.We also honored staff member Maria Meza Ramirez for receiving her Associate in Arts degree from WWCC this past December, 2009.

Garrison PTSA also sponsored prize drawings in support of the students who had perfect attendance and who were on the honor roll.
