Support Services project in full swing
District plans to relocate from Park Street building in March

Construction continues on the new Support Services project located at 1162 Entley Street near Koncrete Industries.

The new Support Services facility represents the second phase of a project to relocate the Support Services and the Transportation Department from 325 S. Park Street . This facility is expected to be completed by March 2011.

State matching dollars fund project
The district is using the approximately $4 million state matching money from the Transportation Cooperative construction project to fund the new Support Services facility. State matching dollars do not increase local bond rates for Walla Walla taxpayers.

Local economic stimulus: The Support Services construction project will help stimulate the Walla Walla economy. Local contractors are expected to be employed by this project. Thousands of dollars in local supplies and services are also expected to be purchased.
