Rock 'n' Roll Camp August 2-6 at Lincoln High School

Rock 'n' Roll Camp August 2-6 at Lincoln High School

Event also includes an August 6 performance

Lincoln Alternative High School will host a one week performance camp designed to give its attendees the experience of producing a Rock 'n' Roll concert.

Concept: Rock 'n' Roll Camp is a 1-week intensive music experience designed to provide interaction between young musicians and music enthusiasts in a real-life production setting.

Some campers will work together as a band, choose a band name, select and arrange songs, write and record music, and learn how to promote their group. Other campers work together on the production side of music such as video and other multimedia, journalism and marketing, merchandise, and the design and setup of stage and sound equipment.

The experience will culminate with a live concert performance for friends and family to see what Walla Walla's future Rock n' Rollers will look and sound like.

Campers: The camp is open to students, ages 12-18. Students participating in the music focus of the camp should want to learn more about playing an instrument and singing.

Content: Topics discussed during rock camp include, but are not limited to:

-  Song selection and arranging

-  Song writing

-  Professionalism and stage presence

-  Marketing and promoting a music production

- Instrument Coaching
